Rob Tulloch

I have lived and worked in the area since 1999 and now live in Oswestry. I enjoy all aspects of the veterinary job especially dermatology and general surgery. Outside of work I have 3 boys who are rapidly growing up and are involved in sport in a big way - specifically rugby and cricket and as a result spend a good chunk of time involved in the local rugby & cricket clubs. As a family we like to walk our Labrador Woody, play the odd game of golf and catch up with friends and family when time allows.

Leah Jones

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018 and I am now the Practice Manager and Head Nurse at The Market Town. I enjoy my new leadership role as Practice Manager, where I am passionate about supporting our team and helping the practice continue to grow and thrive. I am dedicated to delivering high standards of patient and client care. Committed to developing the future of the profession, I successfully established the clinic as an approved training practice with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring in my campervan and heading off on adventures with my two dogs, Quinn and Eric. I love the outdoors, I make the most of my time off discovering new places and sunset hunting.

Claire Jones

I have been part of The Market Town Vet in Oswestry since it first opened its doors. It has been a wonderful journey, and I feel lucky to be surrounded by such a dedicated and caring team. Watching our practice grow over the years has been truly rewarding. We have worked hard to build strong relationships with our clients and their pets. At home I have three lovely dogs: Tia, Teddy and Bow. They love to go for walks and keep me on my toes. I also have three lovely cats: Rocky, Tilly and Arty, who also like to keep busy.

My name is Jill and I have lived in the Oswestry area all my life. I adore all animals and I am the proud owner of 4 fabulous Frenchies. I enjoy working with colleagues at The Market Town Vet, meeting customer's and the wide variety of animals that are cared for at the Practice. I am a qualified Pilates Instructor and have worked in the Fitness Industry for the past 29 year's. I am passionate about all aspects of health and fitness especially the gym and running, my other passion is ride outs on my Harley Davidson.

Megan Dixon

I have had a lifelong passion for animals and have been committed to pursuing a career in veterinary nursing from a young age. I was fortunate to complete my veterinary nurse training through an apprenticeship at The Market Town Vet, and as of 2026, I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse. As I have advanced in my career, I have developed a particular interest in Anaesthesia and Emergency Care, and I am eager to further my education and skills in these areas. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my Cavapoo, Lottie!

Hannah Bailey

I’ve worked within vet practices for 7 years, having had a change of career in my mid twenties. I’ve done reception and patient care roles. I joined the market town vet in 2023 after having my greatest achievement my son Sidney. The team are friendly and approachable and made me feel at home. In my spare time I compete my horse Newton in various events up and down the country. We also have 5 dogs ranging from a bloodhound to a cocker spaniel. We show our Basset hound at championship level.

Student Veterinary Nurse - Oswestry Practice

Paige Rose

Working with animals has been a lifelong dream of mine, which became a reality in 2023. Starting my career as a Veterinary Care Assistant, I quickly developed a passion for clinical tasks, particularly inpatient care, surgical preparation and laboratory analysis. I am very excited to begin my Veterinary Nursing training and look forward to further advancing my clinical skills within cytology and haematology. Outside of work, my world revolves around my two wonderful cats Oj and Pepper.

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Oswestry Practice

El McGowan

I began my veterinary career over 12 years ago volunteering with the RSPCA before qualifying as a Veterinary Care Assistant. After working in several veterinary practices, I later completed a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and Small Animal Rehabilitation at Harper Adams University, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in July 2023. Alongside my studies, I gained experience in both small animal and out-of-hours emergency practice. I have a strong interest in anaesthesia and analgesia and am nearing completion of the NAdvCert (AnaesthEsia) Nurses Advanced Certificate in Anaesthesia. This qualification will enable me to deliver the highest standard of care, minimise anaesthetic risks, improve recovery outcomes, and provide tailored analgesia plans to ensure every patient receives safe and effective perioperative support.

Sally Mantell

I started working at The Market Town Vet after graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2023, and feel lucky to be part of the amazing team here in Oswestry. I grew up in Bristol and have loved moving to the beautiful Shropshire countryside and fulfilling my dream of working at an independent veterinary practice. I couldn’t resist adopting my dog Ember from Hector’s Greyhound Rescue and we enjoy exploring our new home together, although she prefers cuddling up on the sofa! Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Ash Pugh

I started working at the market town vet after I did my first placement here and loved it, I now work here full time as a registered veterinary nurse. I love animals and have had many in the past including a Dalmatian that made an appearance in the Disney film 102 Dalmatians. I currently have a few animals of my own including a bulldog called Bodi (pictured above) who has many fans here around Oswestry. As I continue with my veterinary nursing career I have a particular interest in schedule 3 nursing which includes minor surgeries and procedures and have plans to go back to university to do my advanced nursing certificate in surgery.

Ben Price BVMS MRCVS

I grew up in Evesham Worcestershire, before going to Glasgow Vet School, where I graduated in 2007. Previously I have worked in Pershore, Nottingham, Sydney (Australia), Guildford and Crewe. I was here for the opening of TMTV and have seen the practice go from strength to strength. I throughly enjoy being a vet and have a particular interest in orthopaedics (including cruciate disease surgery) and reptiles. I live in Norton in Hales near Market Drayton with my wife Jemma, also a vet, and young son Kit. I have a lovely old Labrador called Hattie, and a bouncy Labrador puppy called Sophie, a Horsefield Tortoise called Winston and a spare room full of snakes. In my spare time I enjoy riding motorcycles (my pride and joy being a 1996 Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird), caving and walking in the countryside. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Sophie Valcke

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2015 and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2019. I am lucky enough to be part of an amazing team in Shrewsbury where my role is Head Veterinary Nurse but I have a particular interest in surgical nursing. I have set our clinic up as a RCVS training practice where I can train students to become qualified nurses. Along side this I have also put in place our practices RCVS accreditation. When I’m not at work I love spending time with my soon to be husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Michelle Dawling

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2017, where I have been lucky enough to have been part of two initial set ups before The Market Town Vet, allowing me to transfer my experiences and bring the best I can to the practice. I have been married to Steve for 14 years and have two teenage boys, Michael and Jack and three dogs, Arthur the staffy cross Lab, Molly the puggle and Mavis the french bulldog. I couldn’t be prouder to be part of this wonderful practice and working alongside some fabulous people. I’m mostly looking forward to meeting new clients and having lots of snuggles with their loving companions.

I'm excited to be joining the market town vet team, bringing with me a wealth of experience to support this fantastic independent practice in Shrewsbury. I have been involved in the veterinary world since 1991. Inside of work I can often be found sneaking a cuddle with clients pets but its all in a days work! Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and various pets (having a menagerie of pets all acquired through my job).

I have been in the veterinary industry since 2019 leading on from graduating Nottingham Trent University with an FdSc in Animal Science and a BSc in Animal Biology. I have been at the market town vet since 2021 as a veterinary care assistant however I am currently completing my registered veterinary nurse training which is super exciting. I love all areas of veterinary, particularly enjoying canine behaviour, theatre and laboratory work. Outside of work I am a mum to my little girl Millie and cocker spaniel called Moose.

I have been in the veterinary profession since starting university in 2013. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 graduating from Harper Adams University. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the cinema and travelling abroad especially to Walt Disney World.

I come from a farming family in Staffordshire, having grown up around many animals, I quickly developed a passion for working with them. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College with honours in 2013. I have since worked both in this country and in New Zealand where I met the love of my life, my dog Barnaby, and my second love, my husband. Along with animals my passion is travel so have spent time in Africa working at rescue charities and sanctuaries. At home we now have a menagerie of animals at home including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and other birds including pheasants and aviary birds.

I have lived in Oswestry all my life. When I was a child I lived near Oswestry racecourse, were my family ran a dairy farm. I enjoyed many happy days helping out on the farm, as well as doing the things kids do like sledging, climbing trees & many more things. I have an NVQ Level 2 in Small Animal Care & this along with my extensive job experience has helped me to settle into my role on reception. In my free time I like to spend time with my family & their pets. If I can get out & about in the countryside too that's a bonus.

Sam Lewis

Born in Oswestry, I've always been passionate about animals. I began veterinary nursing in 2013 and graduated from Harper Adams University in 2017. Since then, I've gained valuable experience as a locum, working in various practices and referrals across the UK. This flexibility allowed me to pursue my other passion – music, in which I achieved my Master's degree from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2021/2022. In April 2024, I joined The Market Town Vet, where I've found a sense of belonging, which is rather weird as a locum! My professional interests include anaesthesia, nursing consultations, particularly nutrition. Outside of work, I pursue my passion for opera and classical singing, performing in various contracts and concerts across the UK and Internationally. In my free time, I enjoy supporting my partner's venture, Widnall Bakery, the UK's only deaf-owned bakehouse. And when I am not working- you can find me spending time with my Labrador, Crumpet, who I am training to become an assistance dog for the deaf. We also love travelling together! Be warned: if you own a Labrador and I’m around, you mise well book out the rest of your day, as the crazy Labrador lady will be unleashed!

I grew up in Surrey, before studying at Glasgow vet school where I met my husband Ben. I have worked in the East Midlands, Australia and Hampshire before settling down in North Shropshire. I am interested in chronic pain management and acupuncture. Ben and I have a son called Kit, along with 2 labradors, a tortoise, 2 Guinea pigs and ‘too’ many snakes! I love all things wildlife and gardening and am a keen twitcher.

I graduated from the University of Surrey in 2022 and initially began my career in farm animal practice before transitioning to working with companion animals. I started at the Market Town Vets in 2025 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here as part of a fantastic team. I am passionate about all aspects of my job, from routine check ups to more complex treatments. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by playing rounders as part of a local team and exploring the countryside with my golden retriever, Annie.

Luke Cherry

I grew up in Cheshire having moved to England from Australia from a young age. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2021 and have since worked at various practices in Shropshire. I joined Market Town Vets in 2024, splitting my time between Shrewsbury and Oswestry. I enjoy all aspects of the job especially surgery and imaging. At home, I have two pet house rabbits named Pluto and Muffin, and a tortoise called Tortellini. Some of my hobbies are Scuba Diving and am currently learning to fly small airplanes.

Hi, I’m Yentl. I originally come from Belgium and have been lucky enough to secure a job as a VCA here at The Market Town Vet. I love working with animals and enjoy all aspects of the job role. At home I have a German shepherd, a Large Munsterlander cross, a Bengal cross and Tabby cat as well as being married to Sophie Valcke and caring for her 2 daughters

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2014 and have worked in small animal practices since then. Apart from my time at the RVC I have always lived in Shropshire, appreciating the pretty towns and villages it offers as well as the beautiful countryside. I enjoy being a general practitioner vet, finding all aspects interesting. I have completed a one year certificate in small animal medicine with the University of Dublin. At home I have two lurchers and a three legged cat. My hobbies are a little limited currently having two young children however I do love walking and camping as well as baking when the time allows.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016 and work in mixed practice across mid wales, Shropshire and Herefordshire since then. I previously locumed at the Market Town Vet and then joined the team in 2026. I enjoy ultrasound scanning, general surgery and acupuncture. Outside of work I love to travel and have been lucky to see some amazing places across the world. I enjoy horse riding and walking in the countryside with my dogs.

Bronwyn Jones

My journey with Market Town Vets began as a veterinary student on placement, and after graduating from Harper and Keele Veterinary School in 2025, I was delighted to return and join the team as a qualified vet. Shropshire born and bred, I grew up on a small farm in the beautiful Shropshire Hills, where my love and passion for animals flourished. I have a particular soft spot for sheep — especially Herdwicks, and have a small flock that keep me busy outside of work. At home, I live with my partner Luke and our two cats, Maggie and Maude. We’re currently on the hunt for a puppy, and I’m secretly hoping I might just meet our next furry family member through my work at this lovely practice!

I joined The Market Town Vet in 2025 after completing an apprenticeship through Chester Veterinary Training Centre & qualifying with a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2024. I also graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2013 with a BSc in Physical Geography & went on to hold several supervisory & management roles before retraining to become a RVN. As a child, I was determined to involve myself with animals despite being severely allergic to all things furry! I enjoy the variety & unpredictability of veterinary nursing, & have a particular empathy for patients living with chronic conditions. Outside of work I enjoy travelling with my fiancé (we met on our first day of University in 2010) but we’re most at home walking the sands of the Cornish coast with our labradoodle.

I'm new to the vet scene, but after nearly 35 years working in Dental and GP surgeries its been a fabulous change getting to know the owners and their gorgeous pets. We are definitely a dog loving family, we have a noisy dachshund and playful labrador at home that keep us on our toes. Outside of work most of my time revolves around my family, in particular my three cheeky grandsons!

I’m currently studying Veterinary Nursing at Wrexham university. I have been completing my placement at The Market Town Vets. I really enjoy my time here and got on so well with the team that I was thrilled to accept a job at the practice. Eve Rollins

I started my career in the veterinary industry in 2016 and, after a five-year break, returned in 2026 to join the team at The Market Town Vet. I’m really enjoying being back in the veterinary environment and being part of such a caring and supportive team. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two rescue dogs, Louie and Barney. Barney came to us from a difficult background, which sparked my particular interest in canine behaviour and supporting anxious dogs. Much of our spare time is spent walking, training and adventuring together. I also run a small pet-sitting and dog-walking business in my spare time, which gives me the opportunity to spend even more time learning about dogs with different personalities and needs.

I’m Lucia and I am a Veterinary Care Assistant here at TMTV Shrewsbury. This is literally my dream job caring for animals and working with a great team. I have two German Shepherds, Wren is in the picture and I do training and sports with her. I also have a horse called Chuckles! I’m currently studying for a Veterinary Nursing Assistant Level 2 Diploma qualification.

Paul Flaherty

I’m a graduate of the University of Liverpool (Class of ’98) and have spent my career caring for animals of every shape and size, working across mixed, equine and companion animal practice, from the tiniest kitten to the largest farm animal. Becoming a partner in my own small animal practice has been a career-long dream. When I’m not in the practice, I’m always ready to get stuck in, especially when there’s water involved! I’m a passionate diver with a real love for marine life, and on holiday you’ll often find me exploring beneath the waves whenever I get the chance. Home is a smallholding in Whitchurch, where I’ve lived for the past 25 years with my wife, Kitty, and our three children, Doris, Enid and Austin. Our household is practically a menagerie of its own, with dogs, cats, a tortoise, ponies, geese, chickens, ducks and sheep all calling it home! I’m a real people-person at heart and love getting involved in community life, cycling and cooking up something tasty. Spare time usually means cheering on the kids at equestrian events or from the side of the hockey pitch, wellies on and coffee in hand. I try to bring compassion, my experience and a genuine love for animals to everything I do.

Tom Griffiths

I have worked in the veterinary industry for 23 years, and 11 years ago qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). I began my career in mixed practice before moving to a referral hospital, where I gained valuable experience and went on to achieve my Advanced Veterinary Nursing qualification. For the past three years, I have returned to first-opinion practice and have recently joined the team at The Market Town Vet. I enjoy the variety of first-opinion nursing and the opportunity to build relationships with both clients and their pets. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Debbie, and our Basset Hound, Basil. I also play crown green bowls locally and am a licensed amateur radio operator, which allows me to communicate with people both locally and around the world.

Elin Moss

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2019 and have been fortunate to build a progressive and rewarding career ever since. Having worked in both first opinion practices and referral hospitals across the North West over the years, I have a love of inpatient nursing and diagnostic imaging. I really enjoy learning and hold both the Vets Now Emergency and Critical Care Certificate and the Improve International Medical Nursing Certificate. I currently run the CT service at Market Town Vet Whitchurch, where I operate the CT scanner and support patients and their owners throughout the imaging process. Outside of work, I love travelling and keeping active. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my dachshund, Byron, who also accompanies me to work every day.

Beth Whyle

After qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2015 I initially worked as a locum in London while completing the final part of my BSc degree. I then returned to Shropshire, where I have been working in first-opinion practice ever since. I enjoy all aspects of my job and love that every day is different! I have a particular interest in emergency medicine (where I have completed a post qualification certificate) and inpatient care. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the countryside and trying my hand at a variety of craft projects, with varying degrees of success!

Victoria Sherry

I have been working in the veterinary industry over 13 years and qualified as an RVN in 2017. I enjoy all aspects of my job especially analgesia and cytology. I love all sorts of weird and wonderful animals but Bully breeds are a passion and you’ll often find me running out to cuddle any that come through the doors. When I’m not at work I have a very busy family life with 2 young children, 4 cats, a rabbit and my crazy English Bull Terrier, Dozer.

Cheri Luckett-Evans

I have over 20 years of experience working in the veterinary industry, beginning my career as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I previously worked for PDSA at one of their pet hospitals in Wolverhampton, where I worked in a clinical role, primarily in theatre and kennels, caring for a high number of emergency cases each day. At The Market Town Vet, I have a more client-facing role, where I really enjoy building relationships with our clients and getting to know them and their pets. For me, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is being able to provide support and care to both pets and their owners. Outside of work, life is certainly busy! I’ve recently moved into a new home not far from Whitchurch with my husband and our two daughters, which we are currently renovating. We’re also kept on our toes by our three spaniels and four cats! When I’m not found with a paint brush or tool in my hand, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. One of my proudest achievements (after my girls, of course!) was recently completing a skydive to raise money for charity, definitely an experience I’ll never forget!

Sharon Frankfort

After spending 22 years in the leisure industry, I decided it was time for a new challenge and followed my passion for animals into the veterinary world. I joined The Market Town Vet Whitchurch on the day it opened, and it’s been a privilege to be part of such a wonderful team from the very beginning. I love meeting our lovely clients and getting to know their pets, no two days are ever the same! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and one of my favourite memories is competing in flyball competitions with my Cocker Spaniel, Tia. I’m proud to be part of a team that cares so much about both our patients and the people who love them.
