    When might A

    CT Scan Be Needed?

Your vet may recommend a CT scan to investigate a wide range of conditions, including joint problems, neurological issues, internal diseases or suspected cancer.

Because CT imaging provides such clear detail, it can support faster and more accurate diagnosis, helping your pet get the right treatment sooner.

    What happens On The Day?

Your pet will usually be admitted in the morning, where our team will talk you through the process and answer any questions. We will also confirm how to contact you during the day with any updates.

To ensure accurate imaging, your pet will be given sedation or a short anaesthetic so they remain still and comfortable. The scan itself is quick, followed by a period of recovery where your pet is closely monitored.

Once complete, we will discuss the findings with you and explain any next steps for your pet’s care.

    Why choose A Ct Scan?

A CT scan provides a level of detail that standard imaging cannot offer, helping us understand your pet’s condition more clearly.

It allows us to diagnose complex issues more accurately and often more quickly, so treatment can begin without unnecessary delay. In some cases, it can also reduce the need for more invasive procedures.

This means clearer answers, better planning and more confidence in your pet’s care.

    Aftercare & Recovery

After the scan, your pet will be monitored as they recover from sedation or anaesthetic in a calm and comfortable environment.

Most pets recover quickly and can return home the same day. We will provide you with any aftercare advice and let you know if there is anything to watch for once you are home.

Our team is always available if you have any questions after your visit.
